Categories of members of the Association

  1. TCM Practitioner: For qualified graduates of approved acupuncture or Chinese medicine courses
    (5 year full time undergraduate or 4 year post-graduate master degree with acupuncture, herbal medicine and tuina training) in a close connection with a Slovenian institute, organization or association.  

  2. Acupuncturist: For qualified graduates of approved acupuncture courses (3 year full time) in a close connection with a Slovenian institute, organization or association.  

  3. Herbalist: For qualified graduates of approved Chinese herbal medicine courses (3 year full time) in a close connection with a Slovenian institute, organization or association.  

  4. Tuina therapist: For qualified graduates of approved TCM remedial massage/Tuina courses (3 year full time) in a close connection with a Slovenian institute, organization or association.  

  5. Medical Qigong Therapist: For qualified graduate of recognized TCM Medical Qigong Training (3 years full-time study) in a close connection with a Slovenian institute, organization or association.  

Get Involved

Membership in the association is voluntary.
The members of the association can be all natural persons who are dealing with Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture most of their working hours and who accept these rules.


The Association accepts members from the whole TCM community. We respect and appreciates differences in age, ethnicity, Indigenous origin or heritage, gender, physical attributes, beliefs, language, sexual orientation, education, nationality, social background, and culture or other personal characteristics.

Code of Ethics

The Code of Ethics for Registrants sets out guidelines for ethical acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine practice. The code is based on a set of core values, which registrants must uphold in their relationships with their clients, members of their own profession, other health care providers, and the public.
